Alicante defends before the Generalitat the heliport next to Tabarca
The Department of Urban Planning of the City of Alicante, directed by Mari Carmen De España , has presented allegations against the rejection of the Generalitat to locate the necessary and demanded heliport eventual next to the town of Tabarca , in the space of the disused sports court.
In these allegations, the suitability of the proposed location is defended based on irrefutable technical factors such as ease of access; avoid conflicts with air traffic, especially the one resulting from the Alicante-Elche airport; avoid operations in favor of the wind; and other factors, such as the elevation of the terrain and other obstacles , according to a communiqué of the Consistory.
In addition, it is noted that, compared to the other two possible alternative locations (in the vicinity of the old prison and in the vicinity of the lighthouse), the site of the disused sports court is more accessible, with a minimum of 9 minutes of difference in the time of transfer and that, according to the allegations, "in moments of urgency it is transcendental".Regarding the protection of historical heritage, the Department of Urban Planning has reminded the Generalitat in its arguments that the use of the heliport is configured as "eventual and urgent",
which means that you can only use a maximum of 15 times a month and that, in no case, for purposes other than those strictly related to medical or emergency uses.From Spain has stressed that " the technical reports ensure that with this type of limited and controlled use the possible damage to the historic wall and the rest of the heritage are reduced to the maximum ,
